Services

Hardware out, money in, and not much asked of you.

Six services, though most deals only touch three of them. Nothing here costs you anything — we're the buyer, so money moves toward you at every stage.

01 · Buyback

Asset buyback

We buy outright. You get a written offer, you accept or you don't, and the money isn't contingent on what we later manage to sell it for.

Consignment arrangements are common in this industry and they shift all the risk onto you — your hardware sits in someone else's warehouse for months while you wait on a percentage of an unknown number. We don't do that. The offer is the offer, and the only thing that changes it is the lot not matching the description, which you hear about with serials and photos before anything moves.

Payment is ACH, check or wire, typically within three business days of the lot arriving and clearing the bench. On larger or repeat deals we'll do a deposit at pickup and the balance at settlement.

02 · Volume

Bulk lot acquisition

Whole pallets, full fleets, populated racks, and the awkward remainder nobody else wants to quote.

You don't need to sort it, test it, or clean it up first. Untested, as-is, no-video and mixed-generation lots are all quotable — that's most of what comes through here. Sorting a pallet before selling it is work you'd be doing for free.

03 · Data

Data handling

The question every MSP asks first. Three options, and the price reflects which one you pick.

You keep them

safest

Pull the drives before pickup and the data never leaves your control. We quote the units drive-less. For regulated clients this is what we usually suggest.

We pull and return

middle

Ship everything intact; we pull every drive on arrival, log the serials, and send them back with a list of what came out of what.

We wipe or destroy

convenient

Drives are overwritten and verified, or physically destroyed, and you get a serial-level record of what happened to each one.

The limit, stated plainly: StricklyTech is not R2v3, e-Stewards or NAID AAA certified. The record we provide is our own documentation, not a certificate backed by third-party audit. For most commercial clients that's fine. If your client's contract, insurer or compliance policy specifically requires a certified destruction vendor, we are not that vendor — tell us and we'll say so immediately rather than three weeks into a project.

04 · Logistics

Pickup & freight

Getting it out of your building is usually the slowest part of the deal, so it's the part we try hardest to take off your plate.

Anywhere along the Austin-to-Miami corridor we come to you — fastest option, and it skips packing entirely. Outside that, lots move LTL; on anything over a pallet we cover the freight and send the labels and the BOL. Smaller lots ship however is cheapest and we net it against the offer, stated up front rather than discovered on the settlement statement.

If a client is closing an office or decommissioning a server room on a deadline, say so in the first email. Scheduling around a hard date is easy; scheduling around one we find out about later is not.

05 · Bench

Testing & grading

Every unit goes across the bench before it goes out the door. That's the whole quality process, and it's why the grading in an offer means something.

Laptops and tablets are powered on, tested for function and graded on cosmetic condition. Storage is wiped and checked against SMART data. Anything that fails gets parted out rather than passed along to the next buyer as working.

The same discipline applies in your direction: if a lot doesn't grade out as described, you get the serial, a photo and the reason before any number changes. Nothing is silently adjusted after the fact.

06 · Partners

White-label for MSPs

Your client never has to know we exist, if that's how you want to run it.

Quotes come to you, paperwork is in your name, and the recovery is yours to pass on as a client credit or keep as project margin. You can also introduce us directly if that's simpler — it's a per-project decision, not a contract term.

Process

Five steps, and you only do two of them.

First email to money in the account is usually one to two weeks. The quote is fast; scheduling the pickup is what takes the time.

  1. Send what you have

A spreadsheet, photos of a pallet, a rack elevation, an RMM asset export, or three sentences describing the pile. We would rather see a messy list today than a clean one in two weeks.

  2. You get a written offer

Usually inside one business day. It states the assumptions it depends on, so you can see exactly what would change the number. Nothing verbal, nothing to reconstruct from memory later.

  3. Decide how the data leaves

Keep the drives, have them returned, or have them wiped or destroyed. Priced either way, and documented whichever you choose.

  4. Pickup or freight

In person across the Gulf Coast and Southeast, LTL everywhere else. Freight covered on anything over a pallet.

  5. Bench test, then you're paid

If the lot grades out as described, you're paid the agreed number. If something's off, you hear it with a serial and a photo first.

Common questions

Things people ask before the first deal.

How small a lot is worth sending?
Roughly ten units or a partial pallet of components is where this starts making sense for both sides. Below that the handling eats the value unless it's Apple or enterprise memory, where even a handful can be worth quoting.
Do you charge for pickup or disposal?
No. We're a buyer, not a disposal service — money moves toward you, never away. If a lot isn't worth anything we'll tell you that instead of charging to take it. That also means we decline material that's genuinely scrap.
When exactly do I get paid?
Typically within three business days of the lot arriving and clearing the bench. On larger or repeat deals we'll do a deposit on pickup and the balance on settlement. ACH, check or wire, whichever you prefer.
What if the gear isn't as described?
You hear about it with specifics — serial number, photo, what failed — before anything changes. Then it's your call: adjusted number, or we ship it back at our cost. Nobody wins from a surprise deduction on a settlement statement.
Can you work under an NDA or a client-facing agreement?
Yes. Send yours and it gets signed, or we can work from a simple purchase agreement. For MSPs we can also stay entirely behind the scenes — your client deals with you, we deal with you.
Do you take the whole rack, cabinet included?
Yes, if it's coming out anyway. Racks and cabinets aren't worth much on their own, but taking them with a populated decom is simpler for everyone than having you arrange separate disposal.

Other direction

Looking to buy, not sell?

Everything that clears the bench gets graded, photographed and listed. Single units and small lots go up on eBay; anything bigger moves through the broker networks or direct — email and ask what's on the floor.
